On Halloween, we get some crazy number of trick-or-treaters... somewhere between 250 and 400 (yikes!). We were taken by surprise last year since it was our first Halloween in the neighborhood. We actually had to borrow candy from the neighbors because we ran out and panicked!
This year I thought it would be fun to invite some family over to have a party while all the doorbell ringing is going on. I came across these fun recipes to make for our little get together. Truth be told, we may just end up ordering pizza as Jake has been sick all week, and I've gotten about 4 hours of sleep a night since last Thursday between his fever, and my adorable nieces visit! But, an ambitious girl can dream... I guess I could always put plastic spiders on the pizza, and that would be sufficiently gross!

These are such fun way to deco food! Your last year halloween story sounds so cute! :) I hope jake gets well soon and some rest for you! Would be so much fun to be able to plan a halloween party. Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!
Wow 250-400 trick-or-treaters! That must be fun! I would panic about running out of candy as well. Very cute food ideas but I think a pizza would be just as good with fake spiders. :)
Heather, you have just given me some fab ideas for feeding my picky nieces and nephews. I was getting tired of dog shaped grilled cheese! Those english muffin pizzas and carrot fingers just might do the trick.
Happy Halloween!
Love these ideas. Emma was really sick and now Sofia is sick but on the mend. I'm exhausted. It's so hard. Hope you have a great Halloween.
oooooh, cute food, but kind of kreepy too. It took me a minute to figure out what the first one was. How clever.
great food ideas! Hope the Halloween party is fun!
Those little pizzas are adorable!
I love those spider cupcakes! We usually have family over on Halloween night and we all hang out and take turns handing out candy. We get tons of kids, too. Some years we run out and have to turn off the lights, but this year I got enough candy to feed an army of trick-or-treaters!
I'm in the same boat as you with the sickness. My daughter has been sick all week, and I've been up with her in the night a lot (she has the high-fever thing going on, too). I'm not sure how much of Halloween we'll be able to salvage. Got my fingers crossed that she'll be feeling better by Saturday night, but it's looking iffy. :(
