Très Cheery French Fabric

I noticed in Martha Stewart Living, a little snippet about the French Company, Les Toiles du Soleil. The 150-year-old French company, was founded by Joseph Sans who first introduced power looms to the Catalan area. Soon the area became known for creating espadrilles using the colorful fabric created in his factory. In 1990, Mr. and Mrs. Quinta purchased the company and added a more contemporary, sophisticated look to the cheery fabrics.

In 2008, they opened their first retail store in NYC on West 19th St. offering their fabrics by the yard, as well as espadrilles, and home accessories made from the fabrics. I can't wait to check it out next time I'm in NYC!

These fabrics are really gorgeous - I feel a craft project coming on!
I think a few of them might also be offered by Paper Source, so if you have a store near you, you could perhaps check them out too.

I was in the city the other evening and admired a gal sporting those espadrilles. That store looks like a trip worth taking...
